As a freshman at California Baptist University, I developed a passion for building relationships through social media in the form of my travel-inspired Instagram, @TravelingJeep. This account quickly grew to 6,000 followers, or roughly half the student population, which led to the university's marketing department recruiting me as a Social Media Intern during my sophomore year.
During my time in this role at CBU, I became the foremost content contributor and coordinator for @calbaptist and was trusted to single handedly formulate posts and write copy for 3 years. I captured student life, engaged with our social audience, and ultimately brought growth to the university's social presence through a strategic content approach. Under my operation, @calbaptist saw a growth of over 10k followers on Instagram, 3k on Twitter, and launched their TikTok account which quickly jumped to 1k followers and 30k likes.
In my junior year, the CBU athletics department took notice of my work being posted across CBU's marketing channels and hired me as a student photographer. I quickly became the lead student photographer, becoming the top priority shooter and capturing all major events, travel tournaments, studio shoots while leading our team of student photographers. My work for the Lancers documented the institution's transition to Division 1 and led to high-profile features in Los Angeles Times and Yahoo Sports.
